Our Team

Steven is owner of Accounting Minds. He is a Certified General Accountant (CGA). He worked on the books of his family's restaurant since the age of 12. He also worked as a banker, controller, in a government department, a top five accounting firm, and other CA and CGA firms. He started his own business in 1992 and has continued helping small to medium sized businesses with setting up their books, consulting, assisting with government audits, and personal as well as corporate tax returns. Steven's strengths are in communicating complex tax and accounting issues into everyday language. We feel that an educated client will make better decisions. This makes everybody's life happier and easier.

Janice is our resident bookkeeper. She been doing bookkeeping for over 20 years. She started out working on manual books and later worked on computerized bookkeeping. In our world of computerization, we feel its always better that someone is trained manually in bookkeeping and then switch over to computer. This way, one knows all the details of an entry rather than pressing a button and having it all done immediately. Because of her experience with manual books, Janice is very detailed oriented which is a great asset when being asked a slew of questions by an auditor. Many clients give Janice the title "the best bookkeeper in the world". We tend to agree.

Zlata started with us in 2005. She has worked in this field since 1982. Her attraction to accounting comes from her love of numbers and how everything comes together and balances. Like Janice, Zlata also started out working on manual books, switching over to computerized bookkeeping later and we all know what a great asset that is to bookkeeping. Her diligent work ethics make Zlata a perfect fit at Accounting Minds.  If you want something done, Zlata can get it done.
